The Brief Quiz

Click the button to do a youth alcohol and drug screening instrument and see how you compare to other young people.

Alcohol and other drug (AOD) use can affect your health. The Brief uses a validated AOD screening questionnaire to give you feedback about your substance use. It can help tell if you’re at risk of alcohol or drug problems. The first part records how much you’ve used in the last month. The second asks about harms giving a ‘Difficulties score’ from 0 to 20. Young people who’ve done the questionnaire say it helps them reflect on their substance use. As well as feedback, The Brief provides ideas and advice about changing. If you know the risks, you can make better choices.
